Coventry City vs West Bromwich Albion

Saturday 4 December, 12:30

On Saturday afternoon, Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion meet in a league fixture for the first time since March 2010.

No side in the Championship has accumulated more points at home this season than the Sky Blues (23), who have only been defeated at home in the league twice since last season, in March!

Coventry City have had a fantastic season thus far, having returned to their home stadium and repaid the fans’ devotion with what seems to be a prolonged battle for the play-off spots.

Coventry boss Mark Robins is unbeaten in both of his previous league encounters with West Brom (1-1-0), and after taking four points off the top two sides here this season, he will be looking for another huge scalp in the form of WBA.

WBA have had a difficult time recently after peaking with a 4-0 win against Cardiff on matchday 10, which saw them lead the league. Since then, the Baggies have dropped to fourth place and have failed to score in three of their last four games, indicating that this will be another difficult match.

While the visitors have only won one of their past six games, they have an 82% unbeaten rate when installed as pre-match favourites in this Championship season (8-6-3).

West Bromwich Albion are without  Jayson Molumby, after the midfielder was sent off against Nottingham Forest, and Jake Livermore is also banned, which leaves them short in the midfield department.

Nottingham Forest vs Peterborough United

Saturday 4 December, 15:00

Nottingham Forest host Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon, hoping to snap a run of five draws in six Championship games.

Peterborough head to the City Ground four points short of safety, whilst Forest are in 16th place.

Despite having the third-worst home record in the league, Forest have picked up eight points and only one defeat in their previous six games at the City Ground.

Following a dull stalemate with West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, the hosts extended their undefeated run to six league games. It was a result that manager Steve Cooper described as “annoying,” and he’ll be looking for his players to improve on that performance here. They need to start turning draws (5 in the past 6) into wins, and a win here might see them climb as high as eighth, depending on other results.

Posh are on a six-match winless streak (0-2-4, 1-11 goals), have failed to score in four consecutive matches, and have not scored in 366 minutes in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest has won the past three matches with Peterborough United (2-1 at home, 1-0 two again wins)

Blackburn Rovers vs Preston North End

Saturday 4 December, 15:00

On Saturday afternoon, Blackburn Rovers will host Preston North End in an attempt to boost their position in the Championship playoff spots.

While Rovers are now in fifth place in the Championship table, Preston are in 17th place despite earning four points from their last two games.

Blackburn Rovers enter this Lancashire derby in great spirits, having won their previous two games without conceding a goal. In reality, the hosts have played 236 minutes of football since conceding their previous goal.

Blackburn have gone undefeated in their past four league games, scoring nine goals in the process, and have scored at least twice in seven of their last eight home games!

With a watetight defense and a joint league-high scoring record at home (23 goals, 2.3 on average), Rovers is the overwhelming favorite against a Preston team that has picked up just 36% of their total points away from home.

Preston settled for a 1-1 draw with Fulham on home soil, their eighth consecutive encounter conceding a goal.
