Celtic is back in the Scottish Premiership for the first time this year, taking on Hibernian on Monday night at Celtic Park.

There was good form in both teams before the shutdown, and it should be an entertaining night in the east end of Glasgow.

Celtic are second in the Scottish Premiership with 45 points from 20 games, six points behind Rangers. Trophy-hunting Celtic are determined to reclaim their Premiership crown and rack up a Treble. Ange Postecoglou’s men have already lifted the Premier Sports Cup this season.

The Celts ended last year in superb form as they chase rivals Rangers in the race for the title. They comfortably beat St Johnstone 3-1 in their last league outing.

Celtic are unbeaten in their last nine games and lost just one of their last 19 across all competitions. They are yet to lose at home all season (7-2-0).
Celtic’s 12 goals conceded – two fewer than Rangers – is the lowest amount in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Celtic are unbeaten in 15 home league matches (W12 D3) since a 1-2 defeat to St. Mirren in January 2021. The Hoops have scored 37 and conceded just four goals in this run.

Hibernian also ended 2021 in good form as they went on a three-game winning streak in the league after winning just once in the 10 league games prior. They beat Dundee United 3-1 in their last game

Hibernian have won each of their last three league games, including both of the two under new manager Shaun Maloney, an ex-Celtic star.

Hibernian sit fifth in the league table with 29 points and will be looking to continue their good form.

It’s Hibs’ best league winning run since a spell of four straight wins from January-February 2021.

Celtic are unbeaten in nine league matches against Hibernian (4-5-0) since a 0-2 defeat in December 2018.
