In round two of their League Cup Semi-Final, Arsenal and Liverpool will meet at The Emirates. Originally, this was to be the first leg of this tie, but Liverpool successfully requested the game to be postponed.
As a result, the match at Anfield became the first leg, with Arsenal securing a 0-0 draw despite being reduced to ten men after Granit Xhaka was dismissed after 24 minutes.
Away goals do not count double, so Arsenal and Liverpool need to win at the Emirates to qualify for the League Cup final.
In the EFL Cup final, the winners’ will face Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Arsenal had a week off; a combination of Covid, Afcon, injuries and sending players out on loan enabling them to get Sunday’s North London derby against arch rivals Tottenham called off.

The Reds returned to winning ways against Brentford on Sunday with a comfortable 3-0 win.
The Reds have won four straight against the Gunners, and they have conceded just 18 goals in their 20 Premier League matches while scoring 55 goals.
Liverpool, even minus their talismanic front two of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, plus Naby Keita who are at the Afcon.
